Michelle L. Cantu, MD
Dr. Michelle L. Cantu graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Cantu completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She served as co-chief resident during her fellowship training.
Dr. Cantu has been practicing psychiatry for over 5 years. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., a member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, Bexar County Medical Society, and Bexar County Psychiatric Society.
Dr. Cantu is a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, watching movies, camping, attending church, and playing with her children.
